Community

‘If you think you’re too small to make a difference, you’ve never been in bed with a mosquito.’ (E5)

If you could do one small thing would you?

Community is the collective social responsibility you have to the EARTH ensuring that we recognize and are accountable to the fact that ‘we have not inherited the earth from our parents, but borrowed it from our children‘ (E8).  It encompasses elements of sustainability within society which you can contribute to in a small or large way, directly or indirectly,  including design, culture, building, being out and about, childhood obesity, politics, social inclusion, civic and economic life.

Building and design will repay you with comfort, warmth, lower water and energy bills and a healthier environment in which to live.  By encouraging active youngsters you create more active, healthier, enthusiastic people as the next generation of decision makers.  Creating better decisions and reducing your tax dollars spent on health and obesity.

Whatever you’re doing become aware, take action and activate the awareness of other family, friends and politics.  Buy and support local companies (via product purchases) who encourage and behave in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.  Embrace action, change and awareness and play your part in creating a better place.
