SELF – Hobbies
“Books can be dangerous. The best ones should be labelled ‘This could change your life.’” (R1)
So it’s winter. You’re all rugged up inside with pastey white skin and enjoying the few months we get to put on real winter woolies.
The scarves, hats, jackets and boots all get dragged out and used until it’s raining and all we really want to do is stay inside, curl up in front of the fire or heater and read a good book right.
There are five top books for your recreational reading this month and they all come with a WARNING: once started you will be totally consumed and unable to put them down. I was eight pages from finishing one and had gone to help out some friends for the day. After reading all the way to the front door I was sent to out the back to finish it before being rather productive all day.
So what are the books you ask:
1. The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
2. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
3. The Girl who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson
4 The Girl who Kicked the Hornets Nest by Stieg Larsson
5. Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts
(2, 3 and 4 are a trilogy)
Enjoy and let us know what you think.
